Prabha Subhadra was born in India in Odisha. Born in a family with musical lineage, Prabha’s inspiration to learn music was mainly drawn from her parents, especially her mother who was a keen music enthusiast since her childhood. The spark in this artist was realized at a very early age by her mother to train her in classical music.
Prabha was introduced to Carnatic classical music at the early age of five. Prabha had the unique opportunity of learning music from her mother also as her mother is also a trained singer. Prabha was a keen learner right from her childhood. A keen participant in music competitions held in various venues where she studied, she won many accolades in Inter School and inter college competitions held every year. She was awarded as best singer in her college.
Prabha was associated with all India Radio, Odisha for five years as an artist and also was a singer for live orchestras and bands.
“I was singing a group song for Sur Sangam in Abu Dhabi last October, when the organisers made me sing a solo. I didn’t think I still had it in me. I am thankful to Leena Naresh Vatnani (CEO of Vatnani Events based in Dubai) for helping hone my talent. She has helped me get into bigger platforms and radio shows.”

Prabha resumed her singing career in October, 2018 and in a very short span of time has been recognized by Radio Big Fm 106.2 as Lata Mangeshkar of UAE and Gulf News ,The Media in UAE hailed her as the ‘Nightingale of UAE’.
